Nexium control capsule is a capsule that helps you control acid from your stomach. It contains the active ingredient esomeprazole, which is a type of drug called a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). How to use Nexium control capsule
Take this Nexium control capsule by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Swallow the capsules whole. Do not chew, crush, or open the capsule. Do not take any other dose of this Nexium control capsule, as it will not work for you. Tell your doctor if you are using any other oral medication, as the combination of Nexium control capsule with these may not work for you.
Do not let this Nexium control capsule or any other medication, supplement or other oral medication in your diet or exercise routine or if you have any allergies, cold symptoms or allergies to medications, certain heart conditions or problems with your heart, chest, liver or kidney, or if you have any other medical conditions. Tell your doctor if you are using any other prescription or over-the-counter medications, vitamins or herbal products, as they may interact with this Nexium control capsule or change the dose of this medication. Ask your pharmacist or check on the Nexium control capsule if you are using the brand name Prilosec.
This may not be a good time to take Nexium control capsule, as it may cause more stomach upset, headache, heartburn, nausea or vomiting and it may cause serious stomach problems (such as stomach ulcers or bleeding). Nexium control capsule should not be taken with food or beverages that contain aluminum or magnesium, as they may reduce its effectiveness. Ask your doctor or pharmacist which oral and dental treatment, antibiotics and antacids and NSAIDs like ibuprofen or naproxen that you take in the morning.
